When I make the decision to go and buy a high end makeup product, the last thing that I want to do is not like it. After my second or third high end purchase fail, I decided to take a different route. In Ulta near the registers they have many different travel and trial sizes products. The ones that they have are really decently sized that you can get instead of blindly trying the full sized and not liking it. The most recent of my purchases from Ulta in a trial and travel size was the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and the Smashbox Try It Out Box.
Most high end companies have small trial and travel sizes that you can try. I know for sure you can get them at all of the Ulta’s and you can request small sizes of products like foundations from Sephora. I’m almost sure you can do the same at MAC, but correct me in the comments if I’m wrong.
Buying trial and travel sized products has really saved me a lot of time as well as money. The amount of product that you can get varies depending on what you’re trying and the company itself. The Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is a great example of an amazing amount of product, for a decent price and I’ve ended up loving it. The travel size was only $14, but the full size is $30. With face products such as setting sprays, powders and primers, I never know immediately if I like the product, so it takes a couple of tries to decide how well a product works and the best method of application works best. However, if I have a bad reaction to the product, it doesn’t work for me then I’ve only used a fourth of the travel size and didn’t waste my money on the entire product that I won’t be able to use.
In the picture at the top of this post I have featured some of the travel and trial sized products that you can purchase them from:
1. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray $14 at Urban Decay
3. Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara $10 at Sephora
Those are a few of the reasons that I buy sample sizes of products of higher end products that I am interested in buying. It really helps me make better high end purchasing decisions. I hope you all find this post helpful to you. Comment and let me know what is your favorite high end product is. I’m always looking for new things to try out!
